All dimensions follow the standard cemetery convention: width × thickness (front-to-back) × height.
Installation: add a flat $350. Cemetery foundation, permit, and administration fees are set and billed separately by your cemetery.
Every monument includes a matched base with a base height equal to the tablet thickness and a border sized to your cemetery's requirements — typically 3″ on every side. The 36″ × 6″ × 24″ monument carries a wider 4″ side ledge on each end of its base, sized to seat granite flower vases.
Any size can memorialize one person or two — single or companion use is an inscription layout choice, not a size restriction. Every cemetery sets its own monument size limits, so we verify your cemetery's bylaws before production begins and your monument is approved the first time.

Sunnyside Lawn & Surrey Centre Cemetery (City of Surrey)
Sunnyside Lawn and Surrey Centre Cemetery follow the City of Surrey's cemetery bylaw. Upright markers are permitted on premium designated plots only, with a 40″ maximum height, a 30″ maximum width on single lots, a 48″ maximum width on double lots, and a base showing a 3″ border on all sides with a rock edge. Maple Ridge Cemetery (Maple Ridge)
Maple Ridge Cemetery allows upright monuments only on designated plots in Section 6 — all other graves, including the Whonnock cemeteries, take flat markers. The City's bylaw sets no fixed size table for uprights; instead, each monument is approved individually by the City and must be granite, with a granite base on a concrete or granite foundation. Based on the 4′ × 8′ grave size, we recommend:

Inscriptions in any language are permitted at Maple Ridge — the City requires a written translation on file, which we prepare for you. Uprights here are installed by the monument company, so we confirm your plot is designated for an upright, secure the City's approval, and handle the foundation and installation.
